Felt as if standing on the lalam bridge!!!!
I am from Plassanal and did my schooling from St.Antony's High school Plassanal during 1980-1986.
I did my PDC and BSc from St.Georges college Aruvithura (1986-1988 and 1988-1991).
Now I completed my PhD(Tech) in Chemical Engineering from Bombay Univeristy and doing further research in ultrasonics in France in a place called Toulouse near the Spanish border.

Seeking anyone who was at St. Vincents EMHS between 1964-1970. This site is impressive. However St. Vincents EMHS which was a great institution which has made excellent contributions to Pala both academically and culturally has not been included in the Educational Profile."Pathrochen"

Hi! It was really nice to see PALA on web. I am from THIDANADU which is on Eratupetta -Kanjirapally route. I studied at govt.High School Thidanad upto 1986 and during 1986 - 1991 at St.George's College. After taking my degree in Oiltechnology from Bombay University in 1994 I worked in Mumbai for sometime. The refurbished Pala site is definitely better, but I miss the old pictures. Perhaps you could add some images of the Meenachil countryside on the frontpage itself, and a couple of visuals displaying the dynamism of the people. I cannot help feeling that the main picture is a shade darker than necessary, imparting sort of deserted look.But I should assure you that the Pala site is far better than similar ones of Kanjirappally or Thiruvalla(if you have made them, please improve.).The content is well written and informative, but some spelling mistakes and grammatical errors cause eyesores.
The selection of the people of the millennium is agreeable in most categories, but there are some glaring omissions: Cannot Lalithambika Antharjanam(Ramapuram), her son N Mohanan, C R Kesavan Vaidyar(Chandrika Soap fame-Ramapuram again), M D Valsamma, Shiny Wilson(may be she is a daughter in law), Joseph Kunju(whose school games record remained unbeaten for decades) qualify? In the list of freedom fighters, you haven't included RV Thomas. There could be different opinions about politicians, religious leaders etc. but I strongly feel that these names certainly qualify.

I have visited Palai twice on behalf of the England & Wales branch of the Catholic Charity the St Vincent de Paul Society in 1993 and 1998. I stayed at Mutholy with Emmanuel Kolady and also visited Boystown. I love the atmosphere of Palai and environs and hope to return soon. There are many mistakes of English language in many of the writer ups, which are irritants to a reader. It will be nice if those language mistakes ( of spelling as well as grammer ) are rectified.
